YASA's
Mission Statement
Youth Action for Social Advancement
is a Non Governmental Youth Organization aiming
to strengthen youth structures that forge a new
cooperation between young people in North and
South to reach sustainable development, economic
equity, protection of environment and social justice.
YASA responses to human needs in the following ways: * by responding to victims of natural and man-made disasters; * by providing assistance to the poor to alleviate their immediate needs; * by supporting self-help programs which involve people and communities in their own development; * by helping those it serves to restore and preserve their dignity and to realize their potential; * by helping to educate the people of Bangladesh to fulfill their moral responsibilities in alleviating human suffering, removing its causes, and promoting social justice. |

YASA's Goal
* The enhancement of social integration,
particularly of the more disadvantaged and marginalized
groups. * Alleviation and reduction of widespread
poverty and hunger. * Expansion of production
employment, skill development training for the
unemployed youth. * Aiding affected people during
natural calamities, disasters like floods, cyclone
and helping them to stand on their own feet again.
* Stimulate and facilitate young people to educate
themselves on specific issues of environment and
development. * Bring together young people from
all over the world, forging new partnerships on
a local, national, regional and international
levels. * Building the capacity of youth organizations
striving for sustainable development in North
and South. * Initiate and facilitate grass-root
action by young people on environment and development
issues.
